Rocketbook Reusable Notebook Keeps You from Wasting Paper!

March 29, 2019 by Alisha Leave a Comment

I’ve been keeping a secret about a bad and wasteful habit that my husband has had for years…heck decades!  My husband writes down every song, business idea and thought that pops up in his head.  This man has probably spent thousands upon thousands (ok maybe I’m being a bit dramatic) on notebooks and loose leaf paper.   So when Rocketbook reached out with a chance to review their reusable notebook I was ecstatic to say the least.

The Everlast notebook by Rocketbook feels like a traditional notebook but wipes clean for endless pages, notes, and doodles. The Everlast works with any pen from the Pilot Frixion line and is connected to all of your favorite cloud services. With Optical Character Recognition (OCR) features, the Rocketbook allows users to transcribe and search handwritten notes right in the Rocketbook App. The notebook comes with a black pen but we like to be “extra” sometimes around here and I picked up a 7Pack Pilot Frixion from Amazon which also comes with black, green, purple, light blue and red.  You can use the eraser on your pen or the cloth that comes with the notebook.  [Read more…]

Get Your Pink & White Outfits Ready for La Fête du Rosé Festival This Year!

February 20, 2019 by Alisha Leave a Comment

When you think of Nashville the first thing that typically comes to mind is Country Music. Well I’m so glad that this city is starting to realize how important diversity is and La Fête du Rosé will be bringing their picnic-style celebration of rosé wine and lifestyle to town.

La Fête du Rosé sponsored by Moët & Chandon will be returning to Atlanta for its second year on Saturday, May 11, 2019, in Piedmont Park, and will make its debut in Nashville during Memorial Day Weekend on Sunday, May 26, 2019, in Cumberland Park followed by Washington D.C. on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Southpointe in the National Harbor.

Guests of La Fête du Rosé will indulge in wine, champagne, frosé and rosécocktails while enjoying live music and DJs, picnic baskets curated by the top chefs and a host of other fun activities such as life-sized games, live art installations, photo opportunities, and more. A limited number of discounted early bird tickets for each city will be made available for purchase on Tuesday, Feb. 12.

The attire is strictly pink or white and I’m currently adding outfits to my favorite list on Rent The Runway LOL I’m also thinking this would be a great weekend to dye Sybil rose gold. I mean it only seems fitting 😉

Are you planning to attend? Be sure to get your ticket while supplies last LA FETE DUE ROSE TICKETS.

Purple Toad Winery

February 15, 2019 by Alisha 10 Comments

Purple Toad Winery 2

Spring time will be here before we know it and one of my favorite things to do is go on road trips and visit wineries that are along the way.  It’s a great way to check out new wines and I’m not one to turn down a chance to support small businesses either.  You know just doing my part to help the economy…LOL.  Here’s a trip a took a few years back that I’m hoping to visit again this year.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Purple Toad Winery in Paducah, Kentucky.  Any time we take a road trip, one of the first things I do is to check and see which wineries we will pass on the way there or back home.  Several came up, but the Name “Purple Toad” just sounded like it would be a cool place to visit and the reviews on Yelp were pretty good.

Purple Toad Winery 1

Purple Toad Winery is located on the edge of Paducah, Kentucky.  The name “Purple Toad Winery” originated from the color of your toes when grapes were pressed the old-fashioned way.  They combine modern wine making techniques with old world knowledge to produce award-winning wines.  The winery is quaint and just off the beaten path.  Once we arrived we were greeted by Shadow, a black labrador, who quickly made his way onto the sun porch since it was so darn hot and humid!  Inside the shop there were several gifts and wine related items available for purchase.  Ian, our server, was so nice and handed me a listing of all of their wines. Since I would be driving home I decided I’d limit my tastings (which are free) to just four.  😉 [Read more…]
