Pre-Order Your DIVApreneur Shirts

July 6, 2015 by Alisha Leave a Comment

This year I became a DIVAtude Ambassador with Divas with a Purpose.  It’s been so much fun sharing how to uplift one another as women.  This year Michelle of Divas With a Purpose is unveiling a new t-shirt.

Definition of a Diva: a woman who is driven, inspiring, victorious and called to action in her personal and professional life ‪#‎DivaDefined‬

Definition of an entrepreneur: a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so.

Put those two together and you have a phenomenal #DIVApreneur:

A DIVA who organizes and operates her business (full or part-time) while collaborating with and sowing into her personal and professional circles to inspire others to be the best they can be in all areas of their lives.

Our #DIVApreneur tees are available at our pre-order cost of $15/shipping and handling through Friday, July 17th. After the 17th, the price will increase to $20/shipping and handling

T-shirts will not ship until the end of July / early August. Everyone who orders will receive updates and shipping notifications.

Finding Contentment in a Culture of Comparison

June 27, 2015 by Alisha Leave a Comment

kay-wills-wyma-author-blogger

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Kay Wills Wyma.  She is the author of I’m Happy for You (Sort of…Not Really!)  Being a MOAT (mother of adolescents and teenagers) Kay started her blogging journey to help parents deal with entitlement when raising their kids.

When I had a chance to read the book it was like Kay wrote the book specifically for me!  Since so much of my work is engulfed with being on social media so much, it’s so easy to get caught up in comparing myself.  There have been days when I’m like “Why did that person get the campaign” or “Why don’t my kids excel at sports like their kids”…blah blah blah.  Just a bunch of negative self-talk.

We laughed and talked about some of the funny stories that she shared in her book and I admitted how one can get so caught up with comparing themselves since social media is so in our faces now.  Kay said “Catch yourself in the moment.  Don’t get caught up in comparison.  Be inspired!  Step outside the moment and realize how amazing things are.  Remember we don’t know what all is going on in someone’s life.” [Read more…]

Summer Block Party #ShareItForward

With Memorial Day as the official kick off of summer be sure to share a coke with a friend.  The cans in our case had the coolest sayings:  friend, dreamer, better half, bestie, superstar, grillmaster, explorer, legend and bro.  And what better way to celebrate then a block party!  Fun, food, games, kids and more fun!  I live in a cul-de-sac so my block is always the perfect place for the kids to run around in the street and not worry about cars zooming by too fast.  This year we decided to keep it pretty low key and focus more on fun games and let the kids enjoy just being kids…as well as the adults! 😉

To get our party ready I hit up Sam’s Club on a Sunday.  There is nothing like going there and sampling all of the yummy goodies and getting new meal and dessert ideas.  We caught up with the lady doing the Coca-Cola demo and my little one reached in and got “superstar” which is basically what she considers herself.  LOL After that we made our way to the back of the store (nibbled on more samples) and picked up our 32-pack of Coca-Colas.  I’m always in awe of all of the things you can buy in bulk here. I Dribble, But I Don’t Play Basketball #ad #vn #underwareness

May 19, 2015 by Alisha 2 Comments

I am participating in a Vibrant Influencer network campaign for the Depend brand. I am receiving a fee for posting; however, the opinions expressed in this post are my own. I am in no way affiliated with Depend and do not earn a commission or percent of sales.

I dribble, but I don’t play basketball.  Last month I shared a topic that NO ONE likes to admit to having…bladder leakage!  Phew, ok I said it and now I want you to know that you are not alone.  Depend-Coilylocks [Read more…]
