With Memorial Day as the official kick off of summer be sure to share a coke with a friend. The cans in our case had the coolest sayings: friend, dreamer, better half, bestie, superstar, grillmaster, explorer, legend and bro. And what better way to celebrate then a block party! Fun, food, games, kids and more fun! I live in a cul-de-sac so my block is always the perfect place for the kids to run around in the street and not worry about cars zooming by too fast. This year we decided to keep it pretty low key and focus more on fun games and let the kids enjoy just being kids…as well as the adults! 😉
To get our party ready I hit up Sam’s Club on a Sunday. There is nothing like going there and sampling all of the yummy goodies and getting new meal and dessert ideas. We caught up with the lady doing the Coca-Cola demo and my little one reached in and got “superstar” which is basically what she considers herself. LOL After that we made our way to the back of the store (nibbled on more samples) and picked up our 32-pack of Coca-Colas. I’m always in awe of all of the things you can buy in bulk here.
While we were there we also picked up some delicious cookies because nothing says party like caffeine and sugar…am I right or am I right?!?!
Do you remember that old saying “A coke and a smile”? Well how about two! The best part of the 32-pack case is that there is more than enough to share with a friend. And after all the running around we did it definitely helped quench our thirst.
We had scooter races, played cornhole and got out the sidewalk chalk. My skills are lacking but one of the neighborhood kids drew the cutest coke can!

What a fun idea to celebrate with the neighbors! This looks like a great way to share it forward! #client
Sharon it was so much fun! And so happy that the weather cooperated and it wasn’t too hot 😉
What a fun Memorial Day. I would like to move to a cul de sac. I love your shirt. I need that!!!
Moe I got the shirt from Tees in the Trap via Blogalicious conference last Fall. And I’ve been living on my street for almost 14 years and when I move I want to take my block with me. LOL
