Happy MANICure Monday everyone! Lately the little Minions have been popping up everywhere! Hubby took the girls to see Despicable Me 2 a few weeks ago and I just knew I had to recreate the minions. And boy was I happy to discover it was easy! I did a search on Pinterest and found so many cool ideas!
Coral and Mint Nail Art
Happy Monday everyone! I have been searching high and low for the perfect coral color and I think I finally found it. If you haven’t been to JCPenny’s lately definitely take a trip and check out their Sephora store. Not only did I find the perfect color, but all of their Sephora brand polishes are 50% off! So instead of spending $9 on one bottle I decided to buy 2 for that price! The coral color is called “How Cute is That” and the neutral color is called “Give Peach a Chance”. I also added a pistachio green and mint green since those are some of my favorite colors this Summer. The Fresh Mint’s color is “Pistachio” and the Pure Ice is “Wild Thing.”
Teal Blue Flower Nail Art
I decided to treat myself and got a professional manicure done for MANICure Monday! It was such a nice change to have someone else paint my nails for me. I also wanted a jazzy design but I couldn’t figure out anything new that I hadn’t seen before or couldn’t recreate myself. I’ve become quite the nail art snob now…LOL! So I ended up going with a fun teal color and got a flower painted on my ring finger on my left hand and pointer finger on my right hand. I wasn’t all that impressed with the design and kept thinking “Heck I could have done that myself!”
It’s like, totally tubular – 80s inspired Nail Art
Like, Ok. So, this is like a totally tubular 1980s manicure. I mean, like, it’s so gnarly and awesome to the max!
Can I just share with you all that I actually had a dictionary of how to talk like a Valley Girl when I was in the 4th or 5th grade??? I loved that book and even had my BFF studying it and then I promise you all that it took forever for me to stop saying “like” at least a million times a day! LOL
This past weekend my husband and I attended an 80s themed birthday party for a good friend. I had so much fun and didn’t realize how much fun house parties can be. Totally different but being a teenager vs. being a 40-year-old mom, but I still kicked it old school. I found this cute dress at H&M for $12, I won the angel wing necklace and got the jelly bracelets and neon earrings at Five and Below (store closing 75% off).
