I decided to treat myself and got a professional manicure done for MANICure Monday! It was such a nice change to have someone else paint my nails for me. I also wanted a jazzy design but I couldn’t figure out anything new that I hadn’t seen before or couldn’t recreate myself. I’ve become quite the nail art snob now…LOL! So I ended up going with a fun teal color and got a flower painted on my ring finger on my left hand and pointer finger on my right hand. I wasn’t all that impressed with the design and kept thinking “Heck I could have done that myself!”
Now what I did like was how she applied the petals for the flower and the cool dotting polish she had. I will be making a trip to Sally’s Beauty Supply will soon to get more nail art goodies. I also got my nails cut down because I kept going around stabbing my youngest child…oops, my bad!
I’m hoping that this mani last longer than when I paint them myself at home. I’ve been using Sally Hansen’s anti-chip dry quick polish and I only seem to be able to get about 3 days before they look like I’ve been dragging them across the ground.
So what type of polish have you all had luck with getting your manicure to last longer? Please share!
This week I’m linking up with 2 blogs for MANICure Monday! Be sure to check them both out!
