Happy MANICure Monday everyone! Lately the little Minions have been popping up everywhere! Hubby took the girls to see Despicable Me 2 a few weeks ago and I just knew I had to recreate the minions. And boy was I happy to discover it was easy! I did a search on Pinterest and found so many cool ideas! 
For this week’s Manicure I used 2 primary colors. For the yellow I used NK’s polish in Amarillo and Rush’s 60-second high-speed polish in Earth. For the smile and hair on my minion I used a Nail Artist Pen from Kiss in Black.
I hadn’t used this yellow since I did my little baby chick during Spring Break. What’s great about this yellow is that it is very opaque and only requires 2 coats. It seems like it took me forever to find a yellow that wouldn’t require a white base coat and 5 coats! The blue I’ve had forever and seemed to work better than my denim color blue that I typically like to use.
I’m still shocked at how easy it was to create the minion! I painted all of my nails yellow and then used my Sally Hansen quick-dri polish before working on my minion. I used my black nail art polish to make the mask then I used the end of a match stick to add the grey for the goggles. I placed one more dot on top of that with the white and then finished it off with my dotting tool (smaller tip) with black polish for the pupil. I painted the tip blue and drew a smile and 3 little strips of hair with my nail pen.
For the polka dots I painted on 2 thick coats of the blue then put yellow dots all over in different sizes and added white on top of the bigger dots. And viola…my minion mani is complete!
