Coral Sparkles Nail Art

March 26, 2013 by Alisha 7 Comments

Welcome to this week’s edition of MANICure Monday | Coral Sparkles and Happy Tuesday!  Okay so we are sill out here running all over the southeast and have now made our way to Savannah, GA.  This has been one of the funnest Spring Breaks in a long time.  Stay tuned for pics later this week of all of our shenanigans!  Now on to the mani!

Since I’m not home with my arsenal of manicure tools, I decided to just keep it sweet and simple.  While I was at Walgreen’s I picked up 3 colors from the Wet n Wild line.  I got a clear, silver glitter called Kaleidoscope and a coral color called Dreamy Poppy.  I’ve also been on the search for a new fast drying top coat.  While I love Seche Vite, I just couldn’t get over the fact that it would chip after one day.  “Ain’t nobody got time for that!”  So I decided to try Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dray Anti-Chip Top Coat.  It worked great and I’ve been rocking this mani for a few days and no chips!  Winning!!!

Breast Cancer Awareness Nail Art

March 4, 2013 by Alisha 20 Comments

Today’s mani is to show support for my awesome mom.  Back in March 2013 her mammogram came back looking a but peculiar.  Her doctor suggested she get a biopsy and the results came back for early stages of breast cancer.  My mother spoke with several doctors and decided to undergo a double mastectomy.  She had her surgery last week and is home recovering and doing well.  Her spirit is so positive and I’m just in awe of her strength.  Not just physically but mentally.  Hope you all enjoy today’s MANICure Monday Breast Cancer Awareness nail art.  And thank you all for your continued prayers and thoughts!

MANICure Monday | A Hot Mess!

February 18, 2013 by Alisha 23 Comments

So er uh, what had happened was…. Let’s put it this way, I’m sticking to just coming up with stuff on my own and not trying to recreate mess I find on Pinterest.  That place is evil and the tutorials make it seem so easy that even a monkey could do it!  Well I’m not falling for it anymore…. hmph!

So I came across this super cute tape mani while looking for inspiration.  I saw this picture on the blog The World is the Stage and thought “Oh I could do this… this looks easy.”  (insert side eye to myself for thinking the impossible) [Read more…]
