Terressentials Organic Pure Earth Hair Wash

May 19, 2016 by Alisha 1 Comment

Here’s a throwback post to one of my favorite products I tired when I went natural almost 5 years ago.

This stuff right here is AWESOME!!!  I’ve been hearing about Terressentials from a lot of the other Naturals out there.  And the biggest con was that a lot of users said that their hair just felt too dry after using it.  But the pros definitely outweighed the cons so I thought I’d give it a try and I’m so happy I did.  I decided to try the Left Coast Lemon “flavor”.  The scent is heavenly and all of the ingredients are organic.  TERRESSENTIALS Pure Earth Hair Washes are made from gentle, detergent-free, naturally-occurring clay minerals with organic botanical extracts and organic essential oils. Their special hair wash is made from an exotic clay that has been used for many centuries as a
Below is a list of all the goodies that are concocted to make this wash:
Organic aloe vera juice°, clay minerals, organic extract° of organic linden flower°, essential oils of organic lemon°, organic sweet orange° and organic lime°, extracts of organic nettle°, organic chamomile° and organic shavegrass°, essential oils of organic bergamot°, wildcrafted bay and organic petitgrain°.
I decided to try the 7-day “detox” to remove all of the impurities from my hair.  Today is day 4 of my “detox” and I couldn’t be happier with my results.  My hair feels great, has an awesome shine and my husband even said it looked better!  Here is a brief description of how you do the detox:
Day 1:     Three washes, as outlined above (one after the other, leaving the mud on the hair for several minutes before rinsing after the third wash). This is all in the same bath/shower – it’s not necessary to take three separate showers!
Day 2:            Three washes
Day 3:            Two washes
Day 4:            Two washes
Days 5-7+:     One wash
Repeat this entire “detox protocol”, days one through seven above, one to two times or as required, to remove synthetic polymer coating agents from the hair.
So if you’re on the fence about it go ahead and give it a try!  Remember that life is too short so be sure to laugh, love and enjoy the journey!

Give a Beautiful Bouquet from Hallmark Flowers This Mother’s Day

May 4, 2016 by Alisha 2 Comments

Can you believe that Sunday, May 8th, is Mother’s Day?!?!  Right after my birthday I considered this day to be one of the most important days of the years.  It’s a day to celebrate all of the beautiful “moms” in our lives.  Notice that I put moms in quotation marks.  Not everyone is a mother but there are some extraordinary women who have given of themselves and are just as selfless as mothers at times.

Also this time of year can be very difficult for those that have lost their mothers.  I can’t even imagine how hard that is and understand that this time of year is probably overwhelming.  But even if your mother isn’t here I think it’s a great time to still celebrate how wonderful she was!

This Mother’s Day I had a chance to surprise my mom by having a beautiful flower arrangement sent to her courtesy of Hallmark Flowers.  The introductory Hallmark Flowers collection features 11 curated floral bouquets. Each bouquet is wrapped in a Hallmark-branded floral sleeve and tissue to help gift recipients associate these arrangements with quality, caring and luxury. The collection also includes 11 beautiful, fresh potted plants. A Hallmark sentiment tag to match the occasion complements each bouquet and plant.

What better way to kick off Cinco de Mayo than with a Spodee White Margarita Popsicle!  Last year I did a wine slushy post and it was a big hit with my fellow wine lovers!  And this recipe is sure to please you even more.  It includes wine and fresh fruit which totally makes it healthy, right?!?!  And because of their cute, small size they are perfect for cookouts and parties.  I know you’re just dying to know how to make one so I’m including the recipe for this adult treat!

Exciting News for Wine Lovers!

Wine'ing Momma Wine Inspired shirt collection

Finally after all the blood, sweat and tears Wine’ing Momma Tees are available for purchase!  *throws confetti*  I’ve been talking about having my own line of funny wine inspired shirts for years but could never quite figure out how I wanted to go about it.  There were so many factors that stopped me along the way like fear, failing and wondering if anyone would even give a damn about wanting to actually buy this type of shirt.

Well I finally put all of that crap behind me and just decided to go for it.  If there’s one thing I’ve learned its that if you don’t put it out there then how in the world is anyone going to be able to support you!  I’ve been fortunate enough to be surrounded by a group of very encouraging people that tell me to “get off my ass and get my shit” together.  I can so hear Dani and Michelle saying that right now.  And Rose for always letting me vent to her when I’m having issues trying to embed stuff or get the design right.  There were many a night where I was struggling to keep it together to get this up and going but I came out alive!!!
