Thank you to Depend

Can you believe that 23 millions Americans under age 45 deal with this issue?  It’s like a big secret and everyone is ashamed to admit that they do or have experienced this problem before.

Guess who gets to attend the 45th Annual GMA Dove Awards 2014?

Guess who gets to attend their first music awards show???  ME!  I’m so blessed that I along with a group of awesome “social promoters” have the chance to attend the GMA Dove Awards show right here in Nashville, TN.  Huge thank you to Family Christian Stores for providing me with a ticket to attend the show.

The GMA Dove Awards Show’s mission is “to expose, promote and celebrate the gospel through music.”  And I for one am totally looking forward to seeing one of my favorite “idols” Mandisa perform.  I’ve been following her since she was on American Idol and can’t wait to see her perform live.  Who are you most excited to see perform during the show?   [Read more…]

Organic Valley – Muddy Waters Farm

This week I had the pleasure of visiting my first dairy farm!  And not just any dairy farm but an organic one!  Organic Valley “…their philosophy and decisions are based on the health and welfare of people, animals and the earth. They are a mission-driven cooperative, owned by family farmers, and we’ve been leaders in organic agriculture from the very beginning.”

Over this last year I’ve been trying to make a better effort when it comes to what I eat and exercising regularly.  unfortunately I’ve been slacking on both of those and I can definitely feel it in the way I feel and by how I look.  Thanks to Leah of Mamvation I was given the opportunity to go behind the scenes and see what the day in the life of an organic dairy farmer is all about.  Leah is a big supporter of healthy living practices to combat disease.

Organic Valley Family of Farms is the largest organic farmer-owned cooperative in North America. Being a cooperative means that the farm families that produce Organic Valley’s organic dairy products, juice, eggs, meat, soy, and produce are the direct owners of the business.

Marco’s Pizza Introduces Their New Grilled Chicken Florentine Pizza

April 2, 2014 by Alisha 7 Comments

The first Marco’s Pizza store opened in Toledo in 1978.  Gradually, stores opened throughout the Midwest and beyond. The Marco’s Pizza menu broadened as well, to include hot sub sandwiches, salads and Cheezybread for carry-out and delivery.

Marco’s Pizza founder Pasquale “Pat” Giammarco moved to the U.S. from Italy when he was nine years old and grew up working in his family’s pizzeria.  He later embarked on a mission to make high quality pizza on a larger scale using a secret sauce recipe that he developed and refined with his father.
