Marco's Pizza Introduces Their New Grilled Chicken Florentine Pizza

The first Marco’s Pizza store opened in Toledo in 1978. Gradually, stores opened throughout the Midwest and beyond. The Marco’s Pizza menu broadened as well, to include hot sub sandwiches, salads and Cheezybread for carry-out and delivery.

Marco’s Pizza founder Pasquale “Pat” Giammarco moved to the U.S. from Italy when he was nine years old and grew up working in his family’s pizzeria. He later embarked on a mission to make high quality pizza on a larger scale using a secret sauce recipe that he developed and refined with his father.

Since we just got back from being in Florida for Spring Break, the last thing anyone wants to do is cook dinner. Actually the last thing anyone wants to do is go grocery shopping so you can actually cook dinner! LOL The Nashville, TN area has 2 restaurants with one located in Murfreesboro and the other in Franklin. The Franklin location was the only one with a dine-in area so we opted to visit that location. I wanted to try the pizza fresh from the oven and with a 20+ minute drive between both locations I knew it would be best to visit the Franklin location.

We had the opportunity to try Marco’s New Grilled Chicken Florentine Pizza and Marco’s Cheese Pizza with Spinach!

The Grilled Chicken Florentine Pizza has tender grilled chicken, parmesan garlic sauce, four cheeses including Feta with fresh spinach, sliced red onions and fresh sliced tomatoes

The Marco’s Spinach & Cheese Pizza is a blend of three cheeses and topped with spinach (can be made with White Sauce or Red Sauce).

I’m a HUGE lover of spinach pizza so I thought that would be my absolute favorite! Boy was I surprised. The Grilled Chicken Florentine Pizza was all that and more. I don’t know if it was the 4 types of cheese or the parmesan garlic sauce (instead of the usual red pizza sauce) but my mouth was doing a happy dance after the first bite! My husband and the girls loved both pizzas and it’s always nice when I can sneak in some green veggies since my 4yo is such a vegetable snob!

DROOL. We have Marco’s here but I believe it’s only takeout … I know the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area has it, I’ll have to see if there’s one by me!

Man that pizza looks friggin GOOD!!! Ok I’m sold! I love it when the cheese goes all the way up to the crust and I love trying different sauces besides traditional pizza sauce or marinara.

I just want a real pizza, garlic knot, antipasti and cannoli to remind me of home.

P.S. My favorite combo is Barbecue Sauce, Grilled Chicken, Onions, Bacon & Tomatoes. Sounds crazy but it’s AWESOME.

Yes, I’ve had Marco’s Pizza twice because they are located near my massage office. Today I had the pepperoni pizza. I love how the bread is so fresh and the toppings so plentiful and delicious. Delivery was quick, way sooner than I expected. The last time I ordered the wings and those were oh so good. I was raving about their packaging too. Everything looks so colorful and they always have super deals. This is definitely my favorite pizza spot. I learned about Marco’s because they sent some coupons to my office.
