So today’s hair of the day is brought to you by the letter “T” for TWA. Not sure what a TWA is? Well it is the acronym that refers to a teeny weeny afro. TWA just sounds more fun! Last month I decided to cut off my hair again and forgot about all the drama that come with doing another Big Chop! I forgot how dry that new growth can be and also that I’m so limited by the types of styles I can do. So for the last month it’s been pretty much WNGs (was-n-gos) and finger coils. Can’t really be to picky when my hair is 1-2 inches long. Check out this video I did that literally take about 5 minutes to do. This is a great way to add some dimension and texture to a TWA. Let me know what your favorite Hair of the Day style is!
A letter from Sybil
Hey Curlies! Well Sybil and I are at it again. She is still made at me for chopping her off. She left this note for me that I wanted to share with you all:
“For one year you nurtured me and gave me all kinds of big, fluffy Afro life. I started off as just a mere twinkle in your eyes as a micro TWA. Then over the months, you learned how delicate I was and that I flourished when you used water-based products, trimmed me regularly and stayed away from “heat”. Well well well… you just H A D to get me flat ironed last month…SMH. Well that little stunt caused my crown to loose all of its kinky coil texture. People recommended protein deep conditioning, but instead you chose to cut me all off. Now I sit here sad and traumatized. If you thought I was crazy before, you ain’t seen nothing yet!”
So er, uh… yeah I’m scared as a **** of Sybil right now. I mean who leaves this kind of letter while they’re in their right mind. I better not go messing with Sybil anymore if I know what’s good for me!
Please make sure and check out our latest video too! Sybil said you all better watch or she might do something to me… (I’m scurred)!

Black Hair Media: Textured Beauty
Guess who was featured as Black Hair Media’s “Textured Beauty”??? *points to me*
Can I just tell you all how much I love sharing this wonderful re-discovery of my natural hair with you all. I hate to sound cliche and call it a “hair journey” but sometimes that’s exactly what it feels like. It’s been so much fun connecting with other curlies and sharing tips, styles and the love/hate relationship that we all have with shrinkage! LOL
Please take the time to check out the feature here and leave a comment to let me know what you think.
