Listen…not only was 2020 one of the worst years with a global pandemic it was also a year that I had to become a “virtual” teacher due to school being closed. There is a reason I changed my major from Elementary Education fifty eleven years ago. That reason is that I realize I do not have the patience of a Saint and therefore me trying to help my child with their school work was setting her up for failure and me up for a nervous breakdown!
My oldest daughter finished school early and graduated last year. So luckily she missed out on the hot mess that everything in the spring semester became. My youngest daughter was left with me trying to figure out how to help her and us both becoming frustrated. I knew with this school year we would need the assistance of a tutor because my way of teaching was not getting us anywhere.
I’ve always been interested in finding her a tutor but some of the places in our area would cost over $1000 a month. For that price I’m going to need you basically being a one-on-one teacher for my child and not just a tutor! EBO Educational Services reached out to me about their tutoring services and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my daughter. The tutor we met with took the time to get to know Morgan and even got her out of her shell a bit. He asked a lot of open ended questions to try and gauge what was going on, her favorite subjects and where she felt she was struggling the most.
