Hair porosity and why you should give a d*mn!

If you’re newly natural or you’ve been natural a long time, next to hair type another common term you may have heard is hair porosity. If you’re like me, after a while you just get inundated with all the terms and start to dismiss some of the “noise” that you hear. But today I want to talk with you about hair porosity and why you should give a damn!

Almost 8 years ago I published my first blog post. Then my 2nd one was 4 years later…LOL! That was just after I did my first Big Chop and I wanted to share my journey with the rest of the world. So much has changed since those first two posts and it amazes me daily how much it has grown along the way. I’ve had a chance to make new friends literally all over the world with me just rambling out things going on in my life.

A few years ago I learned that people could actually make money doing this. And with that comes people selling you pipe dreams or giving you misinformation. I’ve made a lot of mistakes with my blog and I’ve also grown a lot as well. I started off just talking about natural hair and the journey that my teenager and I were going on together to have healthy hair. Love at First Sight…It’s Wine of Course!

For the last year I’ve been working on sharing my love of wine with the world. It’s been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. You know when you’re so passionate about something but then you have a million and one ideas running through your mind…sometimes just have to take a break and figure out what the heck you want to do. And it doesn’t help that I get distracted easily and I procrastinate… a lot!

I am happy to FINALLY unveil my first wine inspired t-shirt! *insert drum roll* I thought how cute would it be to have a wine glass and wine bottle going in for a hug. It’s basically love at first sight! And if you haven’t figured it out by now, I LOVE WINE!

The Mane Choice Manetabolism Hair Skin & Nail Vitamins

So…if you’ve been following Sybil and me for a while then you know that I could not care less about having my hair grow to my butt. But recently I went to barber to have him fade my sides and trim the top. He did such a crappy job that I ended up going to a stylist to have her chop off the top and make it look normal! It was probably one of the worst hair cuts that I’ve had in a long time. I went from about 6 inches on top to 2! I let Sybil grow out for a good 5 months to get the length I wanted on top and that knucklehead jacked it all up! I may or may not have shed a tear…LOL!

Now before this horrific haircut, Sybil and I were sashaying all up in the wind looking cayute! That twist-out was EVERY.THANG! And *poof* just like that…it’s gone! #soulcry
