Shuckles Corn Maze & Fiddle Dee Farms

Last week my daughters and I visited Fiddle Farms located about 30-45 minutes outside of Nashville in Greenbriar, TN.  The farm was set up with so many cool things to check out before going through the Shuckle Farms Corn Maze.  After you purchase your general admission tickets you can also purchase “shuckle bucks”.  These can be used for face painting, purchasing pumpkins as well as zip lines.  The first thing my youngest daughter ran to was the teeter totter.  I don’t think she’d ever seen one in person which is crazy.

According to the owners  this corn maze sits on about 7 acres.  Visitors who challenge the big maze should be able to walk for at least 1 hour.  I also suggest bringing some snacks and water since you’ll most likely get tired from all that walking around in circles…LOL!

Locally owned FIDDLE DEE FARMS announced today that you are all invited to attend SHUCKLES PUMPKIN FEST & CORN MAZE every weekend from Sept 26th – Nov 8th. This huge festival’s centerpiece is a 10 acre Corn Maze! We are located in Greenbrier, TN – a short 25 minute drive from Nashville.  Fun for the whole family includes “A-MAIZE-ING” attractions, games, farm activities, hay rides, petting zoo, 200 ft. mine slide, zip lines, food and much more!  Morgan’s favorite activity was the mini zip line…she must have ridden it about 10 times! Coilylocks Reader Survey – Help a Sista Out!

Coilylocks Reader Survey 9/1/15

Almost 8 years ago I published my first blog post.  Then my 2nd one was 4 years later…LOL!  That was just after I did my first Big Chop and I wanted to share my journey with the rest of the world.  So much has changed since those first two posts and it amazes me daily how much it has grown along the way.  I’ve had a chance to make new friends literally all over the world with me just rambling out things going on in my life.

A few years ago I learned that people could actually make money doing this.  And with that comes people selling you pipe dreams or giving you misinformation.  I’ve made a lot of mistakes with my blog and I’ve also grown a lot as well.  I started off just talking about natural hair and the journey that my teenager and I were going on together to have healthy hair.  While working on my blog I met other bloggers and influencers that discussed health/fitness, nail art, motherhood and then WINE!  I think by now you all know how much I love wine…LOL! 2016 Kia Sorento #DriveKia #DriveShop

July 16, 2015 by Alisha 3 Comments

Last week Drive Shop dropped off a 2016 Kia Sorento for our family to review for a week.  Last year our SUV “died” and we ended up getting a sedan.  I’ve always loved the feel of driving an SUV and the Kia Sorento is a perfect mix of SUV and a sedan.  I loved the style and the color was Snow White Pearl which looked absolutely beautiful when the sunlight hit it!  To say the car was fully loaded would be an understatement.  I think the only things missing were a DVD player and a mini fridge.

The lane departure feature is amazing for those road trips or late night driving.  It gives the alert to let you know when you are starting to shift over into the other lane.  I tried it out by changing lanes without signaling and was just in awe at how the car knew I was leaving my lane.  And nothing more annoying than when you set the car on cruise control and have to keep adjusting it to keep up with the flow of traffic.  You can set it so that the speed will be consistent with 1-3 car lengths ahead of you.  That is just pure genius!  And the alert for your blind spot was pretty cool too. Always seems as though people like to just hang out in your blind spot area just when you’re wanting to switch lanes.  We’ve been in Florida for most of the summer so when I learned that the front driver and passenger seats were equipped with a cooling feature I almost jumped for joy.  Imagine sitting on leather seats after the car has been basking in glory of the Florida sunshine…not pretty!  But within a few moments those seats were so cool that it almost felt like I had put menthol on my back…LOL!  The front and middle also had heated seats, as well as a heated steering wheel, but clearly there was no need to test that out in the summer.  HAHA!
