Halloween Ghost Nail Art

Boo! Did I scare you? I love playing around with different seasonal nail art even though my skills suck I still like to have delusions of grandeur and pretend I’m this amazing nail art designer…LOL I don’t know about you, but I’m still trying to figure out where in the heck this year went. Before you know it, Christmas will be here and I haven’t even started shopping for that.

Since I started doing MANICure Monday posts on my blog, my ~~addiction~~ love for polish and all things related to nail art has grown… a lot! Along the way I’ve followed other people’s blogs and joined several groups. While on google+ I stumbled across a nail art group. Some of the work is simply amazing and I feel it should be shown in art galleries…seriously! One of my favorite nail crushes is Margriet of 365 Days of Nail Art. She was on a journey of doing nail art every day for 2014 and she finished! Now that ladies and gentlemen is no small feat. While trying to get some ideas for how I wanted to do my Halloween nail art I immediately fell in love with her orange/black gradient with a witch riding a broom.

Spring Chick Nail Art

A little Spring Chick nail art to celebrate that Easter is just around the corner!

I was inspired by the nice warm weather to paint something Springy. And of course I found this idea on Pinterest. I love the yellow, white polka dots and little baby chick. It’s the perfect mix for Easter and Spring!

The brand was NK nail enamel that I picked up at my local beauty supply store for about $1. I was so happy when I finally found a yellow polish that was opaque enough that I wouldn’t have to use a white polish as the base coat. And the best part was the price! I think beauty supply stores actually have some of the best colors around and it’s always fun to find a new brand that you might not find otherwise.

Hello Kitty Nail Art

If you haven’t figured out by now I like to pretend that I have these mad nail art skillz and can draw anything…LOL! I love doing nail art inspired by cartoons and movies. Did you check out my version of Mike Wazowski from Monster’s Inc?

This week’s inspiration for my Hello Kitty nail art was found on Instagram! I don’t know why I continue to punish myself by trying to recreate these things, but I’m just a glutton for punishment. When your turkey nail art looks like poo…LITERALLY #NaBloPoMo

It’s that time of year when I attempt my pathetic hand at nail art. And each year they get sadder lol. But what stresses me out more is the fact that I’m not crafty at all and my girls love decorating for the holidays.

I have less than a month to get it together and that means I’ll have to get our sad Charlie Brown Christmas Tree out of the attic soon to decorate it. I swear if I didn’t have kids all I’d be doing is decorating the mantle with some holiday crap and call it a day. Now the little one wants the house decorated with lights all over the darn place. She’d be pretty happy if we had it set up like the Griswold’s!

Yea that’s NOT gonna happen! Now on to my Thanksgiving inspired turkey nail art. I always have these wonderful nail art ideas in my head and try to be optimistic that they will turn out perfect. I’m gonna let go of that dream and just be happy with whatever crazy looking nail art I end up with. LOL [Read more…]
