During the summer I stumbled across a cosmetics company on twitter by the name of No Worries Cosmetics. What caught my eye was that their foundation was no sweat….no sweat people! I spent all summer in Florida and I literally wore makeup one time. And that was to meet up with some of my blogging/social media boos when I went to Jacksonville.
After checking out the site I tweeted the owner, Jill, of No Worries Cosmetics and said that her products would be a god send in this sweltering Florida heat. While reviewing her site I also noticed that she had products that would help with vitiligo coverage. At that point I knew I had to reach out to them to learn more.
In case you missed it, my youngest daughter begin developing vitiligo last summer (read Morgan’s story) and she begin wanting to hide her skin by wearing leggings ALL THE TIME. During the cooler months, that was all fine and dandy but when that summer heat hit I knew she’d end up having a heat stroke trying to stay covered up! I had a chance to speak with the Jill on the phone about their products and I just LOVED the passion she had for her products. When I shared Morgan’s story she stated that she wanted to send her some of their products to try.
Here are 6 awesome things about No Worries Cosmetics:
- Feels like a second skin
- Will not smear or rub off
- Minimized fine lines and wrinkles
- Anti-shine matte finish
- Available in 39 different shades
I don’t even discuss Morgan’s vitiligo with her because she never wants to talk about it and changes the subject. I gave up on that months ago…LOL! So imagine how it went when I tried to apply the product…pure comedy! Since she’s more self-conscious about her legs I decided to test the product on one knee to show her how it blended and made the white spots closer to her natural skin color. I was really surprised at how much it covered the spots. The hardest part was trying to get that little stinker to cooperate while I took some before and after pictures. After a while I just gave up and let her “just be herself”.
The cool thing about the cosmetics is that it can be used as a concealer/full coverage all the way to just a tinted foundation. The magic drops are literally like magic! And a little of the product goes a long way which is even better.
I played around with the 2 shades (Karri & Kakarr) and got a pretty close match. Since we were going for a medium/fuller coverage with the cosmetics I only added one drop. I did about 1/2 of each color and used my finger to blend on her knee. If she would have cooperated a bit more I would have tried to do her feet as well, but she was ready to head to the pool! After I finished with her knee I applied some of the no colour powder to set everything.
In between all of her silliness you can definitely tell how awesome No Worries covers and blends her spots so that it matches her skin tone. And the best part is that it even stood up to our swim in the pool. I totally forgot to take a picture after we left the pool ( -_-).
Since the colors are far too light for my skin tone, I decided to give the powder a test and see if I could go the day without looking like I’d been rolling around in chicken grease. You all would not believe how dang shiny I would get after a few hours. I know it’s good for the skin but good lawd it’s just not a pretty look! After a day basking in the Florida sunshine I was pleasantly surprised that I just had a faint glow and not a full on “you could fry food on my face” shine. Win win!!!
