Santa’s Coat Nail Art

Happy Monday!!! It’s another installment of MANICure Monday! This week I found a really cute Christmas design while on YouTube. All of the ones I’ve been finding on Pinterest lately seem to be out of my league lately…LOL Since I’m still on a “no-buy” of polish until after Christmas, I hit up my mom’s stash. For my base coat I used LA Colors polish in “berry red”. I love the color but even after 3 coats it was still a bit transparent. *sigh*

Since my ring finger broke last week I decided to use my pointer finger to recreate Santa’s coat. I painted a white stripe down the middle then the tips. I took a fine brush to create the “belt” with black and then a black square was added for the belt buckle. I wanted to use silver but forgot to add it and had to improvise with a black sharpie (don’t judge me…LOL). Hope you all enjoy today’s mani! [Read more…]

Christmas Nail Art

Hey hey hey!!! It’s another installment of MANICure Monday! Each week during the month of December I’m hoping to recreate something fun from my PINTEREST nail art board. I have been having so much fun with nail art in the last few months and I think I may actually be getting a bit better. Keyword being a “bit”… LOL. Hope you all enjoy my recreation of a Christmas Tree and a Snowman. I used various colors to recreate the design and my base nail color is “Cinderella” by Sinful Colors.

Santa and Rudolph Nail Art

Happy Monday everyone! I’m so excited to participate in this week’s “Manicure Monday”! Typically when I try to recreate ~~EVERYTHING~~ nail art that I’ve seen on Pinterest or YouTube, they end up as an Epic Fail. I was so excited when I came across a Santa and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer design. They seemed easy enough to recreate and the directions were simple and damn near “idiot proof”. If there isn’t one already, there needs to be a “Nail Art for Dummies book“.

I love this red from Revlon. The color is “chili” and it is a true red and dries fast!

I used the black, white and silver in today’s Mani. These pens are great for creating designs.

Ho, Ho, Ho!

I also used “You don’t know Jacques” by OPI to make Rudolph and a dotting tool to create the finer details. It only took me a few minutes and I practiced on a piece of paper before I finished the design on my nails. I’m also hoping to make a Christmas Tree and ornaments before the holiday season is over. Who doesn’t like a good giveaway?!?! Well I want to welcome you all again to my new home and what better way to kick this off. My mom just got back from a Mediterranean Cruise (yes I’m still hatin’) and she brought me back so many goodies. Over the last few years I’ve become quite the collector of scarves. They are so versatile and can dress up or dress down an outfit and they can also cover up a bad hair day while making you look chic!
