Last month during I had the pleasure of reviewing the 2017 Mazda CX-9 thanks to Drive Shop! I’ve had so many amazing opportunities to test different vehicles thanks to them and this was one of my favorites!
I tested a very well-equipped Signature AWD model. It had Nappa leather upholstery, navigation, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, Bose audio, power front seats, power tailgate, Bluetooth audio and phone compatibility, blind-spot alert, backup camera and much more.
When I first got the car I assumed the 3rd row would be just enough room for infants. You guys know what I mean! Most SUVs with a 3rd row have just enough leg room so that if you’re over the age of 1 you’ll be sitting with your knees in your chest. The leg room in the 3rd row was awesome and still provided enough trunk space for all the goodies we got while shopping.
We currently have a sedan and I SO miss driving around in an SUV. This vehicle was also awesome because there were plenty of places to charge all of are smart phones and the teenager was in love with the bluetooth connectivity. As soon as we got in the car she immediately synced her phone and the sound system was full of her hot messness music. Pretty sure that’s not a word but it perfectly describes what we had to endure listening to. LOL
Isn’t the interior a thing of beauty! And its the perfect size and didn’t make me feel like I was all over the road. There were so many cool features that this model had as well:
- Bluetooth, AUX and USB Inputs (4)
- Heated Front Seats & Power Moonroof
- Wheel with Audio & Cruise Controls
- 8” Color Display with Rear Camera
- Auto On/Off LED Headlights
- Leather Trimmed Upholstery
- Push Button Engine Start
- Blind Spot Monitoring
- 7 passenger seating
- Heads Up Display (HUD)
Price: $41,810 (with additional features)
The HUD was a really cool feature that at first I thought would be annoying but it came in handy. The purpose of this feature is to help you keep your “head up” and eyes on the road without having to look down to check your speed. It also lets you know what the posted speed limit is where your driving…how cool is that!
I think this vehicle would be great for large family and stick the little ones in the 3rd row or the vertically challenged adults like myself…LOL Have you been thinking about a new car? Be sure to check out the 2017 Mazda CX-9 and let me know what you think!
