Happy Wine Wednesday! I would like to thank WineMaps.com for sponsoring today’s post! As you all know I enjoy a glass or 2 of wine each week. Okay maybe a whole bottle, but that’s besides the point! During this past Summer the family and I took several road trips and each time I kept wondering if there was a local winery in town. I like to make sure our economy is doing well and I love to support local vineyards. It’s me just trying to do my small part and give back.
But each time I would map out our trip and itinerary, it was never easy to find nice places to buy local wine. WineMaps.com is an interactive travel map that allows consumers to discover, learn and interact with wineries, vineyards, wine bars and event all around the world! It’s like FourSquare meets wine! How awesome is that! This would have helped me out so much during our trips this Summer.
With your phone, You can look for the nearest WineMaps locations, check in to wineries, write reviews and post them to your social networks or map out your own wine tour. WineMaps is a start-up Beta site and they are also working on a mobile app so that you can access all this from your phone.
