ppy Monday! A few weeks ago I came across some really cute nail art while searching for Christmas ideas. I found a ton of designs that I would need a Master’s Degree in Fine Art to try to do! I stumbled across one that was called Christmas Sweat Nail Art. I thought to myself, now THIS is something that I could actually do. Well it didn’t come out quite as planned hence the name Ugly Christmas Sweater Nail Art! LOL So here is the end result.
This nail art is the epitome of an ugly Christmas sweater! LOL I used Revlon’s Fire for the red and my silver holo color was Color Club’s Harp On It. For the nail art in white I used Sally Hansen’s nail art pen in White and for the moose on my pointer finger I used Sally Hansen’s nail art pen in Red. Now if you a bit more patient and practice more than I did, you will definitely end up with better looking nail art. And guess what? I going to be giving away some goodies to give you a chance to try and make some awesome nail art of your own.
The giveaway will include the following:
- (2) Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens in Hot Pink and Light Pink
- (1) Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips in Check it Out houndstooth print
- (1) Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Nail Color in Blue It
- (1) Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Nail Color in Twisted Pink
- (1) Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Nail Color in Ivy League
Giveaway start Sunday 12/9 and ends on 12/16! Good Luck!
Linking up this week to Glitter and Gloss, Well Shut the Front Door!, Lipgloss & Binky & LA Lynn
I’m not exactly talented when it comes to art, so I stick to nail stamping. Easy lol.
LoLinda I love nail stamping! Just wish I didn’t suck at it so much…LOL!
I love using nail stamps. They take a little bit to get used to but I’ve finally gotten to where I can usually make pretty designs with no screw ups!
Amy nail stamps are so cool! I love how you can create so many cool designs without having the skills of being an artist. I def need to practice more with them.
I love polishing my nails! But I’m not that great with doing nail art, I stick to dots, glitter and stripes for the most part.
Roni I’ve been slacking on dots and stripes! I keep trying to be extra fancy and I need to stick to what I know…haha!
I never tried nail art, I usually just paint them and add glitter. I need to try this, you’re getting so good at it though!
You are too busy enjoying the warm weather to worry about nail art! LOL
I have not tried nail art either (except for some stencil designs at the beauty parlor) so I think this is a cute theme that you hare trying!
I always love the nail art they do at the salon! I remember I used to get the air brush nail art. Man I’m really telling my age! LOL
My favorite nail art….french manicure. I hope that counts as nail art!
You can never go wrong with a french mani!
I’ve never tried to do nail art so this would be fun to learn!
Jessica once you start you’ll be hooked!
love your nails! so cute!

Thanks Celyn!
I can barely do a regular coat of polish without any designs right, but I wanna win! Ugly Christmas sweater sounds perfect for me. lol
My nail art came out looking NOTHING like what I wanted…smh. But practice makes perfect or that’s what they keep telling us! haha
I’m sooo trying to paint my fingernails more. I’m a biter so it’s hard! If I win the manicure giveaway it’ll be a start.
Ericka you can do it! I use to be a nail biter but once you start playing around with doing cool nail art you get addicted.
Not my favorite, but the best I can do on my own is leopard/cheetah print with my dotting tools. I still haven’t gotten the faux water marble down yet, but I’m getting there. Stamping is DEFF not my forte. But these nail art pens.. HMMM it makes it look so easy!
My tween and I tried water marbling once and it was a big fail! Need to try the faux version. And as you can see I have a LONG way to go with the nail art pens…LOL!
I love making dots…LOL…easy and mess free! I used to do nail art for my friends in high school but I fell out of practice!!!
Well when you little one gets older you can practice on her!
My nail painting skills are lacking to say the least. Bring on the stencils, lol.
Yes to stencils! You see where my skills are…LOL!
I’m so not good at nail art.
Practice makes perfect!
Hope to win!
Good luck!
Great giveaway. Keeping my fingers crossed, lol! I’m not good at nail art. I can do a mean polish tho, lol!
~Whitney
As you can see I still sucks at it but it’s so much fun!
Awesome sweater nails and awesome giveaway!! I love dots because (after Bailey’s little hint of practicing for half an eternity–haha) I can do them consistently without too much frustration. I also love doing glitter fades. 🙂
Thanks Jennie!!! You know I love your nail art!
I havent tried nail art before. I usually polish my nails or do like a fake french manicure.
I love doing nail art as you can see on the blog but for the most part is purely for fun since my art skills are lacking to say the least! 😉
I so wish that I was good at doing my own nails. My right hand always looks worst than the left. I love your ugly Christmas sweater design!
I don’t even attempt nail art on my right hand unless it nail stickers or using nail tape! lol
Not much, I am a glitter girl (lol), but my daughter does a lot of pretty stuff.
I love glitter but it’s such a PITA to remove! haha
Oh, please let me win…my favorite nail art is dots of various shapes. 😉
Shonda I love polka dots!!! And you can make so many cool designs with just a simple dot!
I love doing splatter manis
Janelle I tried spatter nails once for an 80s look and it was so fun! I need to try it more often.
I love your ugly Christmas sweater nail art! It is so cute!!!
Thanks Renee!!! You know I love my polish and I have to justify it by doing nail art all the time! LOL
LOVE the new look around here Alisha! I don’t do patterned nails a lot, but I LOVE the polka dot one! The ugly sweater theme is cute! LOL!
Thanks B!!! I’m about to get back on polka dots now that I found my 5 piece dotting tool set! It went MIA and I had to use toothpicks…LOL!
