MANICure Monday | Pink & Brown nail art

March 3, 2014 by Alisha 14 Comments

Happy Monday! Spring Break is 19 days away and I’m counting the days until I’m basking in the warmth of the Florida sunshine. I wanted to do something today to help me get ready for Spring since Mother Nature is going through some kind of change and fails to realize I live in the South and we should not have temps below freezing!

Today will be a combo of pink & brown nail art. I’m sticking with another fun polka dot design. I used a popular (and pretty dang expensive) glitter polish a few weeks ago and I was so disgusted by how quickly it chipped. It didn’t even make it 24 hours before I had a chip. So instead of doing a beautiful swatch review of it you all will be witness to some more of my fabulous dotting skills…LOL!

I used 3 basic colors to complete this week’s design. For the pink I used Avon’s Nailwear Pro+ in Cotton Candy, the brown is Milani’s Dark Coffee and the white was Wet N’ Wild’s Blank Canvas.  Please excuse the nubs because I had a few break and I’ve been neglecting them so I cut them all done to help nourish them and help them get stronger.

Well this is sure a super cute combo! I love that you did differently sized dots and the colour choices are awesome! Bummer on the expensive chipped polish, though. It’s just the WORST when you splurge and it ends up being a disaster. Booooo! 😉

I’m just perfect like that…LMAO!!! Dotting tools, toothpicks and tips of pens are great things to get those perfect polka dots. 😉
