Blue Rose & Silver Polka Dot Nail Art

January 13, 2014 by Alisha 22 Comments

Happy Monday!  The best of Mondays for me are the girls are back in school (doing the happy dance) AND I get to share what’s new on my nails!  This week I’m happy to announce that I will be one of the co-host for MANICure Monday!!!  Woohoo!  Please be sure to also check out my other co-hosts, Efie & Mimi, at their blogs!

This week’s mani was basically a “what ever the hell I end up with” kind of mani!  I mean I can’t even recall how many times I redid my nails because each new idea came out looking worse than the previous one.  So I decided to go back to what I know and can’t mess up…polka dots!  When all else fails this is always my go to.

The colors used were Wet ‘N Wild Saved by the Blue and Color Club Harp On It.  My 4yo actually picked out the blue on our last trip to Target so I’ll blame her for that latest addition to my polish!  😉

I love how vibrant the blue is and my love for that holo color will never fade!  It is like the perfect combo of silver with just a dash of the rainbow.  Sparkles just like a diamond…well maybe not a diamond but you get the picture!

So on my pointer finger I tried to make a simple flower with polka dots and then it looked a mess so I tried to swirl it and thought “This kinda looks like a shabby chic rose if you squint your eyes, hold your head to the right and stand on one leg”.  So here you go, a blue rose and silver polka dots.  Tada!

I hope you all enjoyed this week’s mani!  What have you done to salvage nail art and turn a fail into a win?  Please share and also remember to link up with us this week!  Also linking up this week to Glitter and Gloss and Well Shut the Front Door!

I’m going through a phase and I don’t like any of the polishes in my collection. But I love that blue!

My problem is I LOVE all of my polishes! But I can’t seem to come up with anything fun that I can actually do with my limited art skills…hahaha

Girl, that’s skills if you ask me!! I can’t paint my nails, it looks like a 5 year old did it. I always feel like I could paint someone else’s though!

And it’s real embarrassing; I’ve hardly shaved my legs much less polished my toes all winter! One of my big toes has some polish still left…I think….

    The struggle is real!

You did a great job, I started going back to the shop and now have way too many bottles of nail polish that I don’t use – esp as an Avon Rep!
