4th of July Fireworks Nail Art

July 3, 2015 by Alisha 23 Comments

Happy 4th of July weekend!  Can you all believe that half of the year is already over?!?! FAINTS  I’ve been seriously slacking on my nail art lately, but I love doing holiday nail art and this one was so much fun!

nail polish addict

So I didn’t realize how vast my collection of polish was until I took a picture and posted it on Instagram and Facebook and people asked if the picture was from a nail salon…hahaha!!!  I’m not as much of a shoe whore as I use to be and I remind hubby that he should support this habit since it’s much cheaper than buying shoes and designer handbags.  Here’s a picture of my polish.  I don’t think it’s really that bad… what do you think?  And the sad thing is that I probably have about another 75-100 bottles of polish in a few bags!

The one thing that was missing from all of this nail polish was a little bit of bling.  I went to Icing last week and picked up a cute package of nail gems for $4.50.  With the 4th of July holiday approaching I just knew I wanted to do something with red, white & blue polish.  I attempted to do the US flag but that was a big FAIL!  So scratched that off the list and remembered some cute firework inspired nail art I had seen.

I used Revlon’s Top Speed nail polish in Fire and NYC polish in French Tip White & Skin Tight Denim.  I used LA Colours Art Deco nail polish in white for the firework effect on my pointer finger and added a little rhinestone right in the middle.  And on my middle finger I painted the base blue and then did spatter paint with the red and white.

So how did I do?  And how did you design your nails this week?

Hahaha!!! Tell him it’s cheaper than shoes, handbags and other stuff. But I get most of it on clearance or when stores are having their BOGO type sales.

First, where did you get those shelves. I need some. Of course I don’t think you have too much nail polish, buy more! When I saw those on Instagram I thought you had someone at the salon do yours. Good job with the design, you rocked it!

I got them at Ikea of all places! I bought them for the living room and ended up using less than thought I need somewhere to put all this dang polish! And thanks too!!!

Thanks Tara! I’m finally starting to get the hang of jazzing up the nail art. Now when I get a professional mani I’m so critical and think “Hmph, I could do this better at home…and for free!” LOL

So cute and festive! I love it! And great organization of your polishes! I have something similar going on and it’s so much easier to see what I have now. Only rarely do I come home with a bottle I already have now. Haha!

No, this is not bad at all, I have just as many if not more being an Avon Rep and I only do my own toes…fingernails are done at the salon!
