Happy Wine Wednesday everyone! So I’ve been holding on to corks and wine bottles in the hopes of being inspired by all of the crafty people I know. Jeanne of I Dream of Jeanne Designs is so talented and such a sweetheart when it comes to helping us less than crafty people. I could spend hours on her blog swooning over all the awesome pictures of her DIY crafts. Unfortunately for me I don’t have one crafty bone in my body. I even did a post a while back about something I tried to re-create that I found on Pinterest. It was pretty crappy and if you don’t believe me, read my pinterest fail for yourself!
So what does this all have to do with wine you ask? Well I have a lot few empty wine bottles and need some help coming up with ideas. I’ve searched high and low (meaning I looked on Google and Pinterest) for some inspiration and half of the stuff I loved required some type of crafty bone in one’s body, which I do not have. So have you done any crafts with wine bottles? If so please feel free to share or lead me in the direction of something you’ve stumbled across that you’d love to see me re-create.

THANKS FOR THE SHOUT OUT ALISHA!!! So Sweet! I hang on to bottles and corks all the time! Of course ideas for the corks are easier…Like fill the top of a coffee table or side table with corks and seal for a fun and creative look as well as durable! Wine bottles… well I have for one always wanted to own a wine bottle tree, have you seen one of these before? They are kind of a garden sculpture! The are a welded metal tree that the ends hold different colored wine bottles (upside down) for art! So spray painting the bottles in different colors and using as art in the garden is FUN! Also, If you had access to a water saw and grinder, you could cut the bottles from below the neck line and create your own vintage glassware!! Also, I recently had a Shabby Chic Bridal shower(post coming soon!!) and I used old wine bottles for water. First I cleaned the bottles and removed labels, then I hot glued a wide burlap ribbon around the bottle and then glued a fancier ribbon around that one, and filled with filtered and chilled water for the table, much prettier and more unique for your table! Just a few ideas… Can’t wait to see what you create!! Jeanne

Did you ask me if I have a water saw and grinder?!?! HAHAHAHA! First the only power tool I own is a power drill. LMAO But those are some awesome ideas and I don’t have a garden but I’ll spray paint those bad boys and plop them right by the dead flowers at the front door! LOL And I can’t wait to see pictures from the Shabby Chic Bridal shower!
