Sometimes as women we fill we have to try to do it all to make everyone happy. We want to be the perfect wife, the perfect mom and the perfect business woman. Then reality smacks the hell out of us and we remember that we are HUMAN and can’t do it.
I am also a sister, daughter, an aunt, a blogger and small business owner. As a matter of fact I own 2 businesses. My husband and I own a cleaning company and I also sale Origami Owl living lockets. Blogging is such a great release for me when I get stressed and the blogging community is absolutely fabulous. The group of women that I have connected with have led to great business ventures and even greater friendships. I get to talk about natural hair, doing girly things like my nails and of course wine! So when life starts to get the best of me and I feel stressed I know I can always come back to blogging to release much needed tension and share a glimpse of my crazy life with you all.
Now the nice thing about how I handle (or temporarily go off the deep end) my stress is that I’m not worrying about will someone catch my toddler having a tantrum on film or hear my boy crazed tween talk about One Direction…for countless hours! But for people in the public eye I often wonder how in the world do they do it all??? I can’t even imagine if a camera was in my home when my girls would have fights over something as simple as lip gloss like in the picture below.
How in the world do celebrities keep it all together? After watching shows like Tia & Tamera I realize they have issues and struggles just like us. Season three of “Tia & Tamera” follows the twin sisters as they redefine their roles and tackle new ventures, from an exciting business opportunity to big projects to a baby in the family. It’s also nice to see a show where it doesn’t look scripted and everyone carries themselves with style and class. There are so many shows that show such a negative side of women of color that this is such a nice, refreshing change.
I’m so excited for Season 3 to start of Tia & Tamera on the Style Network. Will you be tuning in on Sunday, July 14th to catch the premier of Season 3 for Tia & Tamera? Check out show details here, and follow the Style Network on Instagram here to enter in their “Who’s your &” Giveaway, for you chance at winning a $2,000 Shopping Spree. Thanks Betzy! They are like that picture about 90% of the day…LOL!
Excellent article…A+
Thanks Jeff! Luckily for me I have a great hsuband to help me balance it all too!
Love the twins….
It’s so nice to see they turned out as great moms and didn’t become a statistic of being children actors too!
Definitely!
I often feel overwhemled and I only have one 11 month old to chase after. Full time work, a husband, a household, family, and church events have me going none stop. The good Lord allows me to finish it all but there are certainly times that I wonder how parents with more than one child do it. Or how a single parent handles everything on their. Many props to those folks.
That pic of the girls fighting over the lip gloss cracked me up. I love the look on the little one’s face. Priceless
Veronica I swear they fight like this all the time. They are either all lovey dovey or going at each other’s throats. And I def don’t know how single parents keep it all together! I take my hat off to all of them!
I love Tia and Tamera! Balancing it all isn’t easy but it’s always worth the try!
Tia it sure is! And the little hiccups along the way are things we can just look back on and have a good laugh…hopefully! haha
Oh I love that pic sis. Priceless!
Stac they are a mess ALL the time! LOL
