There are a lot of things that I think that I’m good at. I think I’m pretty good at making people laugh, fairly decent at nail art and can make one hella spinach and cheese Quiche. Outside of that…I don’t have one crafty bone in my body. And I sure as heck am not the best cook.
Now for someone who loves to entertain and party as much as me, you would think I’d figure out a way to decorate my house like something straight out of pinterest. I mean I have thousands of pins dedicated just to being crafty and what not! But alas I just can’t pull it off. What I can do though is buy some delicious food and a few decorations and make it look like I put W A Y more effort into than I really did!
If you’re like me and you struggle with trying to keep up with the Martha Stewart’s of the world, than you’ve come to the right place! The Big Game is just around the corner and I’ll help you get ready so that all of the football fans (and their fur babies) will feel right at home.
To make the party a success all you need is food and drinks! It’s that simple. I started off by going to my local Sam”s Club to get the food. They have this amazing Pizza Family Combo deal that is only $13.98! It includes a large 16″ pizza (cheese, supreme or 3 meats), cheese sticks, 1/2 dozen of cookies and a 2-liter of Coca-Cola. I wanted to add a little “green” to the party meal so I also picked up one of Sam’s Club’s delicious salads.
Remember how I said I’m not crafty? I still wanted to have the table set up to look like I at least put a little effort into getting everything together. I hit up Wal-Mart and got all of the things I needed for about $10! I bought football themed items such as plates, table cover and napkins. It was the perfect way to go and took just a few minutes to get it prepared.
Now check out that spread! Are we ready for some football or what?!?! That salad was a perfect addition to the pizza and I knew those cookies would be gobbled up in no time so I go some more treats to add to our meal.
We recently got a new puppy and I didn’t want him to feel left out so I decided to make him some homemade dog treats! I found this 2-ingredient recipe for the treats on Pinterest and figured I couldn’t possibly jack this up that bad! LOL I combined 2 cups of organic wheat flour and 2 (4oz) containers of chicken and rice jarred baby food. Mixed it up, rolled it out and then use cookie cutters to make some random, crazy looking shapes. Then I baked them for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees. I also did a free hand of a football too. It kinda resembles a football…kinda. -_-
I even sprayed one of the treats green! My puppy Murphy LOVED them and he’d try to devour an entire one if I let him! I’ve been breaking them up into pieces and also made sure to have some as favors for my neighbor so that her fur baby can enjoy some as well.
Are you planning a party or just want a night off from cooking? This will be the perfect way to do just that. What are some of your tips when you want to have a party but aren’t that crafty? Please share because I need all the help I can get!

That puppy is SO CUTE. When did you get him?
And good job with the decorations :). I had people over for the Golden Globes last weekend so I picked up some pizzas and also did a homemade bruschetta … the key is making it look fancy!

I’d totaly come to your game day party. Things don’t have to be overcomplicated require hours and hours of prep. Partys just need to be festive, fun, and have good food. You’d get a check in all 3 columns for this.
