I LOVE candles and all smell good things…LOL! Seriously, if you know me then you know how excited I get when it’s that time of year when the seasons change and the new fragrances are revealed. I was recently sent a candle from Prize Candle to review and was even more excited when I found out the ring inside could be valued from I $10-$5000! So what exactly is Prize Candle and how did they start?
“The Prize Candle story began with the collaboration of a team that shared a passion to create an eco-conscious candle line that is sophisticated and refined, yet, affordable & festive. Pulling their talents from the fashion, design and tech industry to develop Prize Candle, the result is a beautifully packaged, all natural soy wax candle in fragrances that will enhance your environment with the added bonus of a prize in every candle!”
We ended up with the Adriatic Fig scent and it smelled so amazing. It literally had the entire house smelling like fig and a cedar-woody smell, but not overly perfumed. After checking out the site and all the awesome rings that other customers had received, I couldn’t WAIT to dig deep down into that candle. And I literally had to dig because after several days of burning I became impatient. (don’t judge me I wanted that ring…LOL) So after a bit of digging around I discovered my ring.
The ring is nicely wrapped up in a plastic package to keep it safe from the soy based wax. After you unwrap your ring you then take your code and enter it on Prize Candle’s site to get an appraisal of the ring you have. While the ring I ended up with is cute for $25 I would have loved a REAL diamond! Ha!
While I loved the candle, I wasn’t quite thrilled with the ring. For costume jewelry I prefer colored stones versus cubic zirconia stones. Or if it is a CZ, I’d prefer the stone be more of a cluster style so that it doesn’t scream out “Hey…I’m a big ol’ diamond wanna be!” Know what I mean?!?!
Besides the ring, I loved everything about the candle and I’ve been burning for quite some time and there is still a lot of the wax left to burn. Can’t wait to try out a few of the other scents since they smell so heavenly? Have you tried Prize Candle before? If so, please share what you thought and what kind of ring you won. And if you want to purchase your own candle you can save $10 on your first one!

I recently have tried the Prize Candles. They have amazing deals on them to entice you to continue to buy. I loved the soy candles very much and the scents are amazing. I purchased the first one for a friend who absolutely loved the candle, scent and especially her prize inside. These make wonderful fun gifts for women. Since then I have taken advantage of the 2 for 1 offers and have fallen in love with them. Although my prizes have only been worth $10.00 each the fun of it is the best part. I agree it is hard to wait and I too dug out my prizes. However, with the soy wax my hands were tremendously soft for days after. Win win all around. Two thumbs up on these!

Alisha says
Belinda there’s an “appraise” tab at the top of their site. When you click it a box will open up and you can submit the code that was included with your ring. Hope you got a good one!

Sally Korn says
I went in to find out if I was a winner and entered my prize code. They came back with the code was invalid. I have bought your candles for several years and have maybe 6-7 candles. I cannot burn them all at the same time, and was wondering if there was a timeline for entering the prize code or the code for the value of the ring? Thank you for letting me know.
Alisha says
Hi Sally! I’m not affiliated with the company I just did a review of the candle. There should be a customer service number on the site. Hope that helps!

Does anyone know how to check your prize code for the ring received in my candles? I had no ideal they were out of business. Sorry, I think they went out of business. I recently burned 2 of their candles and found their website no longer existed. Really sucks because I have 12 more candles in my closet 🙁

This review was done over 4 years ago when the company was still in business. I have no affiliation with them other than that and I believe amazon.com still sales a lot of their candles unfortunately.
