It’s THURSDAY! If you watch Scandal then you know that Olivia’s meal of choice is typically wine & popcorn. I mean she’s a single girl and works her azz off “fixing” stuff. So she doesn’t really have time for full course meals. LOL
After dinner and the house is quiet and calm, I get ready to watch Scandal each Thursday night at 8pm CST. It is pretty much the only time that everyone in my house actually leaves me alone. Even my 5yo knows not to mess with me. A few weeks ago one of my favorite wine glasses broke and after I cried like a baby swept it up I realized I needed a new wine glass that would make watching one of my favorite shows even more enjoyable.
Popcorn Indiana makes some yummy stuff! One of my favorites is the Black & White Drizzlecorn. Sweet Baby Jesus all wrapped up in chocolate this stuff is good! The popcorn is drizzled in rich dark chocolate and white chocolate. But try not to sit and eat the whole bag in one sitting. Don’t say I didn’t warn you…ya know not that I did that or anything. -_- I always pick up this brand of popcorn at Walgreens or Walmart. They have a lot of other great flavors as well.
Now a great wine to pair with the sweet and salty of the popcorn, in my opinion, would be Sparkling wine or Champagne, a Chardonnay or a Late Harvest Riesling. Really any kind of wine will do…I mean how can you go wrong with wine?
So tomorrow night while I’m learning who the highest bidder was of Olivia’s ransom, I’ll be gulping sipping on some wine and enjoying my popcorn. What other non-traditional food do you like to pair with your wine?

Steph I’m cracking up! You know what I sometimes had crackers with my wine when I watched Scandal and no cheese. I LOVE gouda cheese and all the other pricey cheese. Now I think I may try cheese and crackers next week while in Florida when I watch this show…LOL!
That popcorn looks good! My all time favorite is caramel popcorn though. I shall not share with thee. I have no idea how to pair wine with food so in my opinion, it really does go with everything. Cereal, sandwiches, m&m’s, I don’t care. lol
I’m going to have to do a post one week talking about food and wine pairings! But I’m WEAK at the wine and cereal…hahahaha!!!
Girl I feel you on the wine, but you had to get the most fattening popcorn for the show?!?!? LOL, kettle korn and chocolate. The perfect combination.

I love that popcorn. It tastes sooooo freaking good! I could eat an entire bag in ONE sitting. That’s why I had to stop buying that evil stuff! LOL
