So this week’s post is about trying new things. For me one of the hardest things I have is sticking to a plan. I say I’m going to do this or that and somewhere along the way it gets lost in translation. One of the biggest things I’ve decided to do is actually WRITE down my goals. Usually I just tell myself that I’m going to lose 10 pounds, workout 3x a week, drink more water…you get the picture. But what I never do is actually write them down.
Last year when I did the 12-week Jamie Eason weightlifting challenge I took my measurements and kept up with each workout on my phone. After the challenge was over I slacked off and stopped keeping up with what I was doing. Now I’m on the hunt for a good app where I can keep a tally of my weekly and monthly goals and by doing this hopefully make myself more accountable. There’s something about putting things in print that makes you more accountable than just “thinking” about what you plan to do. I know for me I need it to be mobile so having it on my phone is the only way that I’ll remember.
So the new things that I will be doing is weighing myself once a week (this is gonna be hard a *#&$#$), making new goals for the week starting each Sunday and taking measurements on the first of the month.
What new types of changes are you making in your life? Please share and maybe it will help me stay on track as well!

I’m going to start taking piano lessons again. I have a baby grand piano in my house so I need to start playing it. And I’m trying to get Michelle Obama arms!

I want to learn how to play the violin so we could have a little duo! And yes to Michelle’s fabulous arms!

First, can I just tell you how BEAUtiful it is over here? Love, love, love the new design. {it probably isn’t all that new…but I’ve been under a rock for a while}.
Secondly. Goals. I’m eating well but have slacked on working out. I’ve just joined a program with some girlfriends led by a personal trainer. {$10/session + free use of the gym!} I’ve never been much of a “groupie” before but hope that this will keep me accountable! I want my core back, dammit!

Hey SUE!!! *waves like an escaped mental ward patient* I’ve missed you and your stories. And (gasp) I can’t believe you’re going to do group workouts! I’ve got the right knee of a 105 year old ex-cyclist so running is not an option…LOL! Please also try Zumba because I would love to read about your experience on your blog…hahahah!
