Purple Flowers Nail Art

February 24, 2014 by Alisha 12 Comments

Happy Monday!  So I keep hearing that the Patone Color for 2014 is Radiant Orchid.  I’m not much of a purple fan but I did find a color that took me out of my comfort zone.  I love how this color is a blend of purple and silver to give it a nice metallic look.  Now since I told you all that I would be doing for a minute would be dots, I figured you would like them jazzed up a bit.  Which brings us to my purple flowers…which are actually white!  LOL  But you get the picture!

I’ve learned that price means absolutely nothing when it comes to how a polish goes on and how long it lasts before it chips.  I also love when I find fun, funky colors that are fairly cheap.  While on one of my many trips to Target my 4-year-old actually picked out this color for me.  It’s NYC In a New York Minute Color in Prince Street.  Which of course made me think of Prince and Purple Rain!  I LOVE me some Prince!

For the nail art I used my dotting tool for the flowers and a nail art pen for the swirls.  I love how they came out and can’t wait to experiment with a more nail art from just making simple dots.

Very pretty, Alisha! I love anything purple, though. 🙂

I just had to cut all mine down to nubs. I’d been neglecting them and a few week weak so I just whacked them all off. Sally’s Hansen’s hard as nails is the best polish for me and it’s cheap!

I can’t even believe you did those flowers by hand! They look like they were done by a stamper! AMAZING! And I LOVE this purple! Prince-esque for sure!! Ha! Also, your 4-year-old has fabulous taste. 😉

Cute! That purple looks great on you. I have a hard time finding purples I really love on me. I’ll have to see how this one looks.

I don’t know why I’m always sleeping on those NYC colors. They are good and have a wide variety of colors and you can’t beat the price.

I really like this purple color. I’m also not really into purple but it really does look good on you and I like the designs as well.

Louida I’m trying to get outside my box and use colors I’d never use so you all will see lots of funky colors as the weather gets warmer. 😀
