O’ Christmas Tree Nail Art

OMG can you all believe that Christmas is less than 2 weeks away!  I happy to announce that I finally put up our tree…well actually I went and purchased a new tree!  I kinda forgot that I had thrown out the other one since it was on its last leg and when I went to the attic there was a big ol’ empty space where it used to be.  Oops!  I’m still feeling like Scrooge so I was more than happy to let my 5-year-old decorate the tree.  She actually did a pretty good job if I don’t say so myself.  And the best part of decorating the tree was that I got to unveil my absolute favorite purchase from Black Friday…a wine glass ornament!  Yyyyyyaaaaasssss!

Isn’t that ornament beautiful…LOL!  Now on to my Christmas Tree nail art.  I came across this cool concept for the nail art on Pinterest of course!  It was so easy to do but a bit tedious applying the nail tape and making sure it was as symmetrical as possible.  I used 3 colors to create this week’s nail art.  For the base I applied an opaque green Exotic Green and the glitter green is Call You Later both by Sinful Colors.  For the neutral background for the tree I applied China Glaze Innocence and then a gold star right on top!

I love how this turned out!  What do you all think?  I’m thinking of doing Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer next week…any other suggestions for what you would like to see.  Feel free to leave comments below and let me know!

Carissa thank you so much! And I’m so glad I could be an escape for you today <3 What's crazy is I actually took pictures of me taping up the nail before I applied the polish but got lazy and didn't feel like adding/editing the picture...LOL! SMH I will def do that next time, maybe. 😉

Oh I love this!! Especially how you did the stripes in your tree! I’ve seen this style around but the strips are always diagonal. It’s a totally different look having them be horizontal. And keeping the tree non-sparkly but having your other fingers all bling-ed out was also a fabulous idea! I love it all! Looking forward to your reindeer!

Thanks Em! Polka dots take a bit of patience at first and then BAM you’ll be a pro. The key is doing it in rows and stagger the dots. I have dotting tools but toothpicks and bobby pins work great too.
