This past February, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Thankfully it was caught in the very early stages! She opted to have a double mastectomy, even though the cancer was only found on the side they biopsied. After her surgery, her surgeon also discovered cancer on her right side. Since her cancer was found so early, she did not have to receive radiation or chemotherapy.
My mother will have a chance to model during the October 3rd 2013 Heroes in Heels Fashion Show which will be presented by Belk. Heroes in Heels is an evening of celebration. Breast cancer survivors will walk down the runway and model not only the latest fashions but what it looks like to be a survivor. Mark your calendars, tell your friends and join us for an incredible night!
